Job Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and deliver undergraduate/postgraduate lectures in Life Sciences, including areas such as Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Ecology, and Molecular Biology.
- Develop course materials, presentations, lab manuals, and reading lists in line with academic standards.
- Laboratory Instruction:
- Design, conduct, and supervise laboratory sessions and practical experiments.
- Ensure safety protocols and ethical practices are followed in all lab activities.
- Academic Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor students in academic performance, research projects, and career development.
- Supervise internships, thesis/dissertation work, and academic research at UG/PG levels.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Create and evaluate assignments, quizzes, laboratory reports, and examinations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Research and Publication:
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in Life Sciences or interdisciplinary fields.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
- Academic Development:
- Participate in curriculum development, syllabus revision, and academic planning.
- Stay updated with advancements in Life Sciences and integrate them into teaching.
- Institutional Involvement:
- Serve on academic committees, attend faculty meetings, and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Engage in outreach, seminars, and community science education programs.
🎓 Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, or related disciplines.
- Preferably a Ph.D. in Life Sciences or allied fields (mandatory for Assistant Professor roles in universities).
- Certifications:
- UGC-NET/SET qualification (as per regulatory norms in India, if applicable).
- Relevant certifications in biotechnology, research methodology, or teaching tools are a plus.
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of college-level teaching or research experience preferred.
- Fresh Ph.D. graduates with a research portfolio are also encouraged.
- Key Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Life Sciences and current scientific developments.
- Proficiency in scientific writing and publishing.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use LMS platforms (Moodle, Google Classroom), e-learning tools, and virtual labs.
