As a Biotechnology Associate at our leading Academic Institute in Dubai, you will play a crucial role in supporting advanced research projects and laboratory operations that contribute to scientific innovation and breakthroughs in biotechnology and related fields.
Job Responsibilities – Biotechnologist
- Conduct experimental research in molecular biology, cell culture, microbiology, and genetic engineering under the guidance of senior scientists.
- Perform sample collection, preparation, and analysis using standard biotechnology and laboratory protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including PCR machines, spectrophotometers, biosafety cabinets, and cell counters, ensuring compliance with calibration and safety standards.
- Assist in the design, execution, and optimization of research assays, bioassays, and experiments for ongoing projects.
- Record, analyze, and interpret scientific data using appropriate statistical tools and software; prepare clear and detailed technical reports.
- Support the development and validation of new laboratory methods and SOPs to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including bioinformatics, quality assurance, and R&D for multidisciplinary research goals.
- Adhere strictly to biosafety, biosecurity, and ethical guidelines as per UAE regulations and institutional protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-documented laboratory environment to meet ISO, GLP, and GMP standards.
- Participate in scientific meetings, presentations, and workshops to share findings and stay updated on current research trends.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables.
- Contribute to the publication of research findings in peer-reviewed journals and support grant writing or project proposals when required.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences from a recognised university.
Additional certifications in molecular techniques, cell culture, bioinformatics, or laboratory safety will be an advantage.
