Biotechnology Instructor wanted in the Middle East – Dubai Location who has expertise in biotech areas to educate and design biotechnology courses
Job Responsibilities
- Biotechnology Instructor must design, develop, and deliver short-term biotechnology courses through a hybrid learning model (online live sessions, recorded lectures, and limited in-person workshops where applicable).
- Conduct engaging lectures on core biotechnology topics such as molecular biology, genetic engineering, microbiology, bioinformatics, industrial biotechnology, and laboratory techniques.
- Prepare structured course content, including presentations, study materials, assignments, quizzes, and case studies aligned with industry and academic standards.
- Deliver practical-oriented training, including virtual lab demonstrations, experimental workflows, and data interpretation sessions.
- Adapt teaching methodologies to suit students, fresh graduates, working professionals, and career switchers.
- Assess learner performance through tests, projects, assignments, and practical evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated with current trends, research advancements, and industry applications in biotechnology and life sciences.
- Collaborate with academic coordinators, instructional designers, and subject matter experts to continuously improve course quality.
- Participate in webinars, workshops, and promotional academic sessions to support learner engagement and course enrollment.
- Ensure compliance with academic quality standards, ethical guidelines, and platform policies.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology from a recognized university.
- Proven experience as a Biotechnology Lecturer, Trainer, or Academic Instructor in a university, institute, or online learning platform.
- Strong knowledge of biotechnology fundamentals, laboratory techniques, and real-world industry applications.
- Experience in teaching or training short-term certification courses or professional upskilling programs is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and virtual teaching skills.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), online teaching tools, and virtual classroom platforms.
- Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse learner groups.
- Industry exposure, research publications, or hands-on lab experience will be an added advantage.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and contributing to skill-based biotechnology education.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Experience in hybrid or online education platforms.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, bioethics, and biosafety practices.
- Ability to design career-oriented and industry-relevant course modules.
