Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment that supports early childhood development.
- Use various teaching methods such as storytelling, play-based learning, songs, and educational games.
- Assess each child’s individual needs and learning progress, and provide personalized attention when necessary.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective classroom management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, achievements, and concerns.
- Maintain accurate student records including attendance, development reports, and incident logs.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, school coordinators, and support staff to ensure curriculum goals are met.
- Organize and participate in school activities, field trips, and events that promote learning and community involvement.
- Ensure compliance with KHDA and Ministry of Education standards and policies.
- Monitor children’s health and hygiene and report any concerns to the school administration.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in early childhood education and participate in professional development sessions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field (mandatory).
- CACHE Level 3 diploma or equivalent qualification (preferred in UAE).
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a kindergarten or early childhood setting.
- Fluency in English is essential (Arabic is an advantage).
- Knowledge of EYFS, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or other early learning frameworks is a plus.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
- Familiarity with child safety and safeguarding practices.
- Must meet the licensing requirements set by the KHDA or relevant educational authorities in Dubai.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools for teaching and reporting.
